This is the biggest mosque in the world. The Kaaba is in the middle of this mosque. All Muslims pray facing the Kaaba, no matter where they are in the world. When you visit, you can do Tawaf. This means walking around the Kaaba seven times. You can also drink special Zamzam water from the well inside.
Also called Jabal Rahmah, this is where Prophet Muhammad gave his last sermon. During Hajj, all pilgrims gather here for a day of prayer. You can visit this mountain and spend time in quiet reflection.
The Jabal al-Nour mountain has the Cave of Hira. Prophet Muhammad received his first message from Allah here. You can climb the mountain to visit the cave. The climb is not easy. But many visitors say it is worth it. The view from the top is amazing. Bring water if you decide to climb.
During Hajj, millions of people stay in Mina which have many tents. In Mina, pilgrims do the Stoning of the Devil ritual. This happens at Jamaraat Bridge. Even if you’re not doing Hajj, you can visit Mina to see this special place.
